Children's book about Arcimboldo's paintings
Young readers are invited into the imaginary world of a most unusual painter, Guiseppe Arcimboldo, who created highly original portraits by placing objects such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, leaves, fish, and shells next to one another to form faces. Children can explore the darkened transparent pages of the book using a magic torch made of card, included at the back of the book . As they move the torch around, they'll discover all the details hidden on each page, one detail at a time. Each spread explores a different painting of the Renaissance artist, which is described simply in the accompanying text.
